Camp St. John's is an outreach ministry program of St. John's Congregational Church and an offspring of what was formerly Worship Arts Camp, started by former Minister of Worship & Arts, Minister Reginald "Jay" Adams. Worship Arts Camp was developed by Minister Adams to engage young people in the areas of media and music to challenge and develop their inner creative abilities. It was held in the summer of each year starting in 2014 for 1-week. In the year of 2017, under the leadership of Minister Aarif Bradley, Worship Arts Camp was changed to Camp St. John's and extended to families for 6-weeks.

The vision and mission of Camp St. John's is to place opportunities for growth in the arts in the hands of children who have identified artistic interest as well as children who have not. We believe at Camp St. John's that everyone has some artistic ability, and it is our goal to teach and train the campers to tap into that ability on the inside of them. At Camp St. John's we have introduced some to the performing arts for the very first time in their lives. Others have come to us with great foundation in the arts already. Together, we teach both groups of people to work together, learn together and ultimately grow together both in God and in the performing arts. It is our hope and desire that our campers grow in faith, and that they grow in the performing arts in hopes that they will develop and seek to obtain careers and professions in the arts. We believe the training campers receive here at Camp St. John's upon their buy in, will help them to compete and be relevant in a highly artistic world.

Camp St. John's hires staff members who have formal training in music, dance, drama and general educators in order to infuse the summer with the performing arts and learning. In its inaugural year, Camp St. John's had 9-staff members and over 60 kids who attended. Together with the guidance and leadership of the staff, the campers put on "The Wiz" at the Esther Griswold Theater on the campus of American International College (AIC). In addition to performing arts and learning, Camp St. John's includes much opportunity for FUN, with great activities during the camp day outside of the arts or educational activities and offers several different fun-filled field trips. Trips have included Six Flags New England, in which Season Passes are provided as apart of the program, NYC Broadway to see Aladdin, the movies and more! With the generous support of our congregation at St. John's and our community, we were able to provide this program to over two dozen children for minimal or no cost at all.
